Ghost of the Past: The Attic Bed / A múlt szelleme: ágy a padlásról

After finishing the cute nursery beds, I wanted to make something which was on my mind years ago: a creepy, worn-down iron bed with disgusting and ugly mattress, cobwebs and rust. (Loosely inspired by a film I watched years ago: The Crimson Petal and the White.)

An item, which we find on the attic of an abandoned house. An item, which could play part in a horror movie. So, here we are. The attic bed was born. I don't say I won't fine tune it, as I still have ideas, but for now here are the photos let them speak their own story.

 

 

Some words about the process: the bed itself is a silver soldered iron + steel bed, painted with enamel paint, aged with acrylics. Size: 7,2 x 15,2 cm

The mattress is handsewn, aged with both natural substances, ink and acrylics. The inner layers are carefully carved and built layer by layer to create a realistic effect.

The cobwebs are organic homemade :) I just kindly asked the spiders in my home to create some :)

A gyerekágyak befejezése után véghez vihettem azt, amit évek óta tervezek: egy ócska, leharcolt, kísérteties vaságyat, gusztustalan, ocsmány matraccal, pókhálóval és rozsdával. (egy évekkel ezelőtt látott film indította el a fantáziámat: A skarlát szirom és a fehér)

Egy tárgyat, amit egy elhagyatott ház padlásán találunk. Egy tárgyat, ami nyugodtan szerepet kaphatna egy horrorfilmben. Így született az ágy a padlásról. Nem mondom, hogy nem fogok már dolgozni rajta, tovább finomítgani, játszani az agyamban rajzó ötletekkel, de most meséljék el a fotók a történetet.

 

Néhány szó a technikai részletekről: az ágy ezüsttel hegesztett vas - acél kombináció, zománcfestett, akrilfestékkel öregített, a méretet 7,2 x 15,2 cm.

A matrac kézzel varrott, természetes anyagokkal, tintával és akrilfestékkel öregített. A belső rétegei egyenként kerültek kidolgozásra, hogy valósághű képet alkossanak.

A pókháló otthon készült bio, csak megkértem a lakásomban tanyázó pókokat, hogy szőjenek nekem néhány csinos darabot :)
